Re-opening Baton Rouge Krav Maga Post COVID-19

Re-opening Baton Rouge Krav Maga Post COVID-19

Baton Rouge Krav Maga and Kickboxing gyms are now re-opening and resuming our scheduled classes. Our gym will be maintaining awareness and taking all precautions necessary to fulfill health guidelines while delivering the same hardcore workout our gym has been known for before COVID-19. Baton Rouge Krav Maga and Kickboxing is one of the first gyms in Baton Rouge to practice following policies required to ensure our members health and safety by going beyond what the fire marshal has stated. Baton Rouge Krav Maga and Kickboxing is now offering hybrid kickboxing classes outdoors in addition to our regular indoor classes at our Prairieville and Airline locations. All classes will be offered under certain guidelines, and all classes must be scheduled through Gigabook for outdoor classes as weather permits. All members participating in classes are now required to line up at the gym entrance, one member at a time before entering the facility to avoid close contact. We will avoid overpopulated walkways as our staff uses a touchless thermometer to ensure no fever can be detected. Any members with symptoms of fever, muscle pains, chills, etc. in the last 48 hours are asked to stay home and will not be permitted to attend classes. Signs have been posted at all Baton Rouge Krav Maga and Kickboxing locations which are located at Prairieville, Perkins, and Airline with COVID-19 gym guidelines. Posters with instructions concerning washing hands properly are posted to be followed and respected. Our staff has masked up, gloved up, and deeply cleaned the facilities as thoroughly as possible since our shut down to ensure there is no current exposure inside the facility or with the kickboxing bags. Our bathroom facilities are opened for limited usage, and we do ask that staff and members plan to use your home facilities before leaving home. There will be one bathroom for members, one bathroom for staff, and one bathroom for emergency use only. Once entering the gym certain walkways are marked by blue arrows for social distancing purposes so members and staff can remain 6 feet apart when arriving and training, avoiding all contact. Masks are to be worn by all members before and after classes and may only be removed during class time to avoid overheating. All non-kickboxing staff will be required to remain in masks and gloves at all times. All kickboxing bags for indoor and outdoor classes are to be reserved online prior to class. Kickboxing bags have been measured and placed six feet apart from all angles and are to be cleaned before and after working out by members, followed by an additional disinfecting process by staff after each class. There will be a capacity limit of six members per class. Inside our Prairieville and Airline locations, there are two rooms which will allow 6 people per room, with an open barrier between for the instructor to lead the class. The Perkins location will only be offering indoor classes to also be scheduled online. We’re looking forward to engaging in the transition process as we return to normal. We are excited to be back in the gym with you helping you attain your fitness goals. Although these new policies are very different from our usual workout environment, we do still plan to have fun and train harder than ever before! We look forward to seeing you back at Baton Rouge Krav Maga and Kickboxing. Visit our site Batonrougekravmaga.com to find out what classes are open for scheduling today!
